Down with 3D! Thanks to games like Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, N+ and Bionic Commando ReArmed things are coming back.

Whoa, looks like you can do awesome stuff with it. Pretty impressive. I'd love to make a super cool cartoony 3D game in flash someday. Does it work with Flash 8 and AS 2 as well?

i thought AS3 was capable of a more advanced version of mode 7. simple, but not mind-blowing for the platform.

seeing all the demos on that site totally changed all that. it ran amazingly on my machine (admittedly, though, i do have a high-end one :P) and it looked amazing.

my problem with 3d is that, rather than artistic talent, you go for "ooh look, shiny!" as if it's never been done before. sure, it's never been done before in FLASH, but why would i look for an inferior 3d flash game when i could find a much better 3d retail game. like, i dunno, Crysis. you don't see 2d games like Alien Hominid in retail very often, so one can appreciate it more as a 2d platform than a 3d one.

I'm glad you're still into NEwgorunds, it's always nice seeing an old face reappearing. I think that 3D sugar glider should have done so much better than it did. I think people aern't really ready to embrace 3D yet, as the first 3D FPS (Alien Slayer 3D) on Newgrounds did shit. Although I still love 2D game and animations, i'm all for 3D flashes, and I hope the rest of Newgrounds can accept the 3D generation.
